Pupil Voice

At South Parade Primary School, we value each and every one of our unique and wonderful children. We listen to what they have to say and act on anything we think will help our school to be the safest place it can possibly be; where our children can learn and flourish. 

Picture News Assemblies

Every Monday morning we start of the week with a Picture News assembly. This is always something that is topical and current from today's society. Children debate the topic as a school and give some fantastic reasons to back up their opinions. The children can then add further thoughts on post-it notes to the poster on our display that changes weekly. 

Opinions Board

We have a board in a central place in school where we pose a 'question for thought' on a regular basis. Examples of questions we have asked are:

What would you like to see added to the salad bar on a lunchtime?

What equipment would you like to see on the playground during break times?

The children enjoy giving us their feedback and seeing it being acted upon where viable.
