PE

PE is on a Tuesday.  For PE, children require a white t-shirt and black shorts. For games activities outside, children need a white t-shirt, black shorts and trainers. Track suits, preferably plain, may be worn for games during winter months. All clothing should be clearly labelled. Jewellery must not be worn for sporting activities and long hair should be tied back.

Swimming

Swimming takes place on a  Friday morning. The boys should wear trunks, tight shorts like cycling shorts or shorts with a lining. The girls should wear a one piece swimming costume - the swimming baths will not allow bikinis. Everyone should bring a towel and swimming goggles can be worn but these are not essential. There will be three groups from non-swimmers to advanced. Our first lesson will be on Friday 9th September 22.

Reading

The aim is for every child to read at least three times a week. Children do not need to read to an adult if they are a free reader but we would ask that all children have their reading record dated and signed each time they have read. Individuals who read three times in a week will be able to write their name on our class window to celebrate their success. Children who are reading a school book should return it as soon as they have finished it so that it can be changed quickly.

Homework

Spellings will be given on a Monday and they will have a test the following Monday. Maths and English homework will be given during the week.

Dojo Messages

I look at the Dojo messages around 8:00am and at the end of the school day. If you have an urgent message within these times, e.g. that your child needs to go home with someone else, please call the school office.
