KS1: Children prepare healthy dishes and understand where the ingredients come from.

KS2 – Years 3 and 4: Children use a range of cooking techniques (preparing ingredients, using utensils, applying heat with support) to cook healthy savoury dishes.

KS2 – Years 5 and 6: Children independently use a range of cooking techniques (selecting and preparing ingredients, using utensils and electrical equipment, applying heat in different ways) to cook healthy savoury dishes.
