Dear Parents and Carers,
Re: Flexible Start to the School Day
I am writing to inform you of a small but important change to the start of the school day which we hope will benefit both families and the wider school community starting from September 2025 when we begin our new school year.
From the start of the new school year in September, the classroom doors will open 10 minutes earlier at 8:40 allowing for a more flexible drop-off period so children can be dropped off between 8:40-8:50 instead of a set 8:50 start. This 20-minute window is designed to help reduce the build-up of traffic in the surrounding area during the busy morning period, while also supporting a calmer and more staggered start to the school day for our pupils and families.
Children may arrive at any point during this window, and teaching staff will be available in classrooms to welcome them and help them settle in for the day. Registration will take place promptly at 8:50am, and we ask that all children are in school by this time.
We believe this small change will have a positive impact on congestion, punctuality, and the overall experience of our families during morning drop-off. As always, the safety and wellbeing of our pupils remains our top priority, and we appreciate your support in helping us make this transition smoothly.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
Thank you for your continued support.
