School closure letter 20.3.20

Dear Parents/carers

Where do I start…this week has been a little crazy and one that I’m sure will definitely go down in history! However, we hope that through all the ups and downs of the week, you have felt both supported and informed by school.

As we close our doors to the majority of our lovely children for now, we want to say a huge thank you to our amazing school community for working together during this difficult period. You really have been truly supportive and just great!

We will be continuing to provide a service for our ‘key worker’ pupils, EHCP children and any pupils who are supported by our social care service to help ensure that our invaluable front-line services can keep going and manage the horrible situation that our country finds itself in. We have attempted to contact every parent in school. If we have been unable to speak to you but you feel that you fit the Government criteria on our school website then please get in touch.

We hope that you can try and enjoy some of this new daily routine with your families and we have provided your child/ren with some learning activities to do at home.  Please remember we are here for you should you need advice regarding education or any other worries you may have. Your first port of call for contact will be with your teacher through class Dojo or via our school telephone line (which will be ‘manned’ during the hours of 8 - 4:30).

Mrs Peace, Mrs Fieldhouse and Mrs Banks are the school safeguarding officers and one of them will always be contactable via the school office or via my email address For any urgent action please contact Social Care Direct on 03458503503.

Stay safe and healthy until this is all over.

We cannot wait to see your children’s smiling faces again soon.

Take care,

Mrs Peace and the staff at South Parade
