EYFS - Exhibit good health and engage in physical exercise

 

KS1  

Y1 Begin to master basic movements including:running,jumping,throwing,catching and coordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activities.

Y2 Show more skill and coordination while developing and  mastering basic movements including:running,jumping,throwing,catching and coordination, and begin to apply these in a range of activities.

 

KS2  

Y3  Begin to play competitive games, modified where appropriate eg cricket, football, netball, basketball, hockey, rounders and apply basic principles for attacking and defending.

Y4  Play competitive games, modified where appropriate and becoming more aware of  team players and opposition eg cricket, football, netball, basketball, hockey, rounders and apply basic principles for attacking and defending.

 

Y5 Play competitive games, modified where appropriate eg cricket, football, netball, basketball, hockey, rounders and apply basic principles for attacking and defending. Becoming more instinctive and proactive within the games

 
Y6  Play competitive games, modified where appropriate eg cricket, football, netball, basketball, hockey, rounders and apply basic principles for attacking and defending. playing a full and active role and aiming to win and succeed.
