Read this poem above called 'The Tree of Life'. This poem is called a haiku because the first line always has five syllables, the second line has seven syllables and the third line has five syllables. Can you read and count the syllables? 

 

When you have read the poem, have a go at the comprehension questions below. 

If you haven't got a printer, please write your answers onto lined paper using full sentences. For example, on the first question, you would start writing: "The winter tree is like an ice queen because" followed by your answer.
