  • Covid-19 update

    Wed 22 Sep 2021

    Dear Parents/Carers,

As we have had a number of confirmed Covid-19 cases in school, can we please remind you to take your child for a PCR test if they have any of the ‘typical’ symptoms and keep your child off school until you have received a negative result.

As children of primary age, and many adults too, don’t usually display ‘typical’ symptoms it would really help us in school to keep the infection rate low if we catch cases early. Therefore could we please ask that you also arrange for your child to have a PCR test if they have a sore throat, feeling ‘unwell’, unusually tired/low on energy, flu like symptoms or a cold that is bad enough to keep them off school. I hope you can work with us to help keep infection rates as low as possible during these coming weeks.

Thank you again for your support.

  • Covid-19 latest updates

    Mon 20 Sep 2021

We would like to make you aware that we have had a rise in confirmed positive cases of Covid-19 in school. We are currently receiving guidance from our local public health team who have confirmed a rise in cases in the wider community.

Each time we receive a report of a positive case we will continue to send a message to all contacts in the class. We do this to keep you informed so that if your child displays any symptoms or begins to feel unwell, you can arrange a PCR test as soon as possible. We also keep you informed so that you can be extra vigilant and can make judgements based on your own circumstances.

We have updated our internal risk assessments to reflect the rise in cases including extra handwashing, ventilation in classrooms (please ensure children have a cardigan/jumper in school), and a halt on unnecessary  mass gatherings.

Please can we ask that if your child is absent from school that you please contact the office ASAP letting them the know specific reason for absence and if they are having a PCR test.

Thank you once again for your continued support.
