  • Update: Please read

    Fri 06 Oct 2023

We have been made aware this morning (from several parents)  of a post that is circulating on Facebook.

We have spent the morning investigating this claim and have also been in contact with the police.

Whilst this is alarming, please appreciate that we have fully investigated this and our children's safety is our absolute priority.

We can reassure you that no child is ever released at the end of the school day to anyone other than their parent /carer, relative, childminder or any person that is familiar to the child (that the teacher is informed that is collecting).

Please alert us immediately if you have any concerns about anybody  on our school playground.

Thank you for your co-operation and for being so vigilant.

  • Whole school competition!

    Thu 05 Oct 2023

We are on a mission to do everything we can to keep our children and families safe outside school. This includes parking arrangements around the perimeter of the school grounds. We are receiving an increasing number of concerns reported to us by parents and local residents.

We are running a competition that all children can get involved in.

Please design a poster on A4 paper to promote safer parking.

The deadline is Friday 13th October. There will be prizes for the winning posters (age categories) and the leaflets will be copied and distributed across our school community. The entries will be judged by our local PCSO who is also supporting us with these issues.

Please see this website for examples:

    Thank you for your support.

  • The Big Ambition - have your say

    Mon 02 Oct 2023

Dame Rachel De Souza, the Children's Commissioner for England has launched  a new campaign to hear directly from children, young people, and parents across the country about what they need to make their lives better.

    She says:

As we approach the General Election, now is a crucial moment to take children and young people’s voices to policymakers, Government, and decision makers, to make sure they are heard.

That is why I want to hear from every child and young person in England about their schools, communities, family life, and the wider world. I will also be asking what they want for their future, their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

This survey is for all children and young people aged 6-18 and for parents/carers who can complete the survey on behalf of children aged 0-5. This will ensure we hear from early years settings. Adults can also assist children who are unable to complete the survey independently.

The survey can be completed here:

    https://www.childrenscommissioner.gov.uk/the-big-ambition/

    Thank you.
