Expressive Arts and Design

Through Expressive Arts and Design, children sing songs, make music and dance, and experiment with ways of changing them.  They safely use and explore a variety of materials, tools and techniques, experimenting with colour, design, texture, form and function.

Freya used the skill of printing to explore what she saw on bonfire night.

Eden used the skills of rolling, moulding and joining to make a hedgehog.

Alyssia made a school bus.

"I've done a firework picture and I've put my name on the back. "

"I've made a fire engine. I used paper and lids and I made a ladder with yellow paper."

Archie and Harry are leaf printing to create an autumn picture.

Bram, Luna, Mia and Elle-May enjoyed making a musical pattern using the instruments. They made up their own repeated rhythm of 'mouse, mouse, gruffalo, mouse'.
