Dear Parents and Carers,
This term has really been like no other! So much has changed in a way that we would have never imagined …but we have all adapted so quickly to this new way of working, learning and being. We really miss the closeness we have all been used to before but we have learned new ways to help us communicate and stay close in a kind, loving but safe way.
The children at school are still happily learning, behaviour is great and relationships across our school community are really strong. Somehow we are all more aware of others around us and this really makes us all feel proud of what we as a collective ‘family’ have accomplished.
Staff are working as hard as ever with challenges unlike anything they have faced before and many have had their own personal challenges but they have arrived at school each day with a great big smile on their faces to help stay strong for our children.
You, our families, have been truly amazing. Your kind words and support have helped us navigate our way through the ‘new normal’ which can change so quickly. You have understood our decisions – even the really tough ones. So thank you for sending your children and trusting our professional judgements to keep your precious little ones safe.
Thank you to our wider community and our fantastic Governors for going that extra mile to keep our staff, leadership team and children’s spirits high during this difficult time.
A final thank you to our children who have shown great resilience, respect, kindness and understanding throughout this ever changing time.
We wish you a happy and healthy Christmas and we hope for a more ‘normal’ 2021!
If we all wish for this together, it may even come true!
Mrs Peace, Mrs Fieldhouse and all the staff at South Parade.
